HDMI to LVDS converter

Here it is!  I'm surprised to have received this already as it was shipped from Malasia.  Just a tiny little thing.  It helpfully came with the female connector and the crimp contacts (which you can see above my hand).  All I need to do is cut the end off the cable on the LCD and connect the right wires.

Then I just need to wire up power (it has a barrel type power socket), get an HDMI to mini HDMI cable, and plug it in.  I will also need to program it for the resolution of my LCD and set the voltage levels for the back light (the board includes the power inverter needed).

An elegant little solution to turning any LCD display into a generic HDMI monitor.
